Cloakroom
The guardaroba is the free cloakroom where museums require large bags, umbrellas and backpacks to be left. At the Vatican Museums it is compulsory for anything above cabin-bag size.

A visitor who leaves a bag at the Vatican cloakroom and exits through the Sistine Chapel shortcut to St Peter's cannot go back for it, so the shortcut is a decision, not a convenience.
