The last admission is the final time a museum lets visitors in, usually one hour before closing. Timed tickets sold for that slot give the shortest visit of the day.
Example
The Vatican Museums ask visitors to leave the halls 30 minutes before closing time, so a late slot buys far less than the closing hour suggests.
