Pinacoteca
A pinacoteca is a painting gallery, as opposed to a collection of sculpture or antiquities. The Vatican Pinacoteca and the Capitoline Pinacoteca are separate wings within their museums.

Visitors who leave the Vatican Museums by the Sistine Chapel shortcut never reach the Pinacoteca, which sits near the entrance and holds Raphael's Transfiguration.
